A 73-year-old man and another man, both working in the cleaning industry, were arrested for throwing raw eggs at a park toilet.

This is the scene of the crime. The eggs were splattered in a park toilet in Asakita Ward, Hiroshima City. Katsuhiko Yoshida and Noboru Fujimoto, both from Asaminami Ward, were arrested for throwing raw eggs on the floor and other surfaces.

Because of the crude method, one might think the perpetrators were young people, but both men are around 70 years old.

Furthermore, what's strange is their profession. They work in the cleaning industry, a job that should make them despise such acts of vandalism.

The crime scene involved four toilets in three parks.

The crimes are believed to have occurred between the 7th and 9th of last month.

The arrest was triggered by questioning another company responsible for cleaning the area. It was discovered that this other company had previously had trouble with Yoshida and others. Is this related to the trouble?

The two men are suspected of committing a total of 36 similar offenses. The police had been conducting a thorough investigation.

Yoshida has admitted to the charges.

On the other hand, Fujimoto said, "I will think about it carefully before I speak."

◆ "We tried to hit the patrol cars with wooden swords." 16 boys aged 15-17 arrested on suspicion of group reckless driving. Osaka. The Osaka Prefectural Police Traffic Investigation Division announced on March 8, 2018, that they had arrested 16 boys aged 15 to 17 from Osaka City on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act (joint dangerous conduct) and obstructing official duties, for allegedly riding motorcycles recklessly in a group and hitting a patrol car with a wooden sword.

According to the division, one 17-year-old boy denies the charges, stating, "I have no recollection of this." However, the remaining boys confessed, stating, "We rode recklessly to celebrate a friend's birthday. To liven up the reckless driving, we decided to attack the prefectural police, throw raw eggs at the patrol car, and hit it with a wooden sword."

The charges stem from an incident on August 2nd of last year, in the early hours of the morning, when the boys, riding on eight motorcycles, rode recklessly in a group for about 20 minutes on a national highway in the city, ignoring traffic signals. Furthermore, they allegedly struck a pursuing patrol car with a wooden sword and threw raw eggs at it.
