In Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, a 65-year-old woman was arrested for attempting to kill a neighboring man by colliding her car with him after he tried to warn her about noise.
The woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder is Tokuko Komatsu, a 65-year-old unemployed woman from Tajima, Odawara City.
According to the police, on August 17, 2017, shortly after 11 PM, Komatsu allegedly attempted to kill a 47-year-old male neighbor in the parking lot of her home by colliding her car with him and then driving with him on the hood of the car.
Since around June of this year, there had been numerous complaints from neighbors about the noise from Komatsu's home, including her television and wind chimes. On the 17th, when the man tried to warn her about the trouble with the neighbors, Komatsu, who had just returned home in her car, suddenly started the car.
The victimized man stated, "I have previously been doused with oil, had eggs thrown at me, and a can of mackerel in miso soup thrown at me by Komatsu. On the 17th, when I stood in front of her car, she suddenly started the car and hit me. I thought I would be run over and killed if I fell, so I clung to the car. She drove forward while looking at my face. This act was nothing but terror."
The victim sustained injuries to his arm and other parts of his body.
In response to police questioning, Komatsu denied the charges, stating, "I had no intention to kill." http://www.news24.jp/articles/2017/08/19/07370167.html?cx_recsclick=0

The second son, who threw eggs, barricaded himself in his home with a kitchen knife and, after 7 and a half hours, was raided by police.
On September 27, 2017, around 7:20 PM, a female resident of an apartment in Sone Minamimachi 1-chome, Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture, called 119, reporting that "my son is acting violently at home."
The woman's son, in his 20s, shouted "I want to die," brandished a kitchen knife at police officers, and barricaded himself in his home.
Approximately 30 members of the First Investigation Division's Special Investigation Team (MAAT) were dispatched, and after 7 and a half hours, they broke down the front door and raided the house, arresting the son on suspicion of obstructing official duties.
Neither the mother nor the son were injured.
